Cortney A. McLellan, CMT
Owner/Certified Massage Therapist

I'm Cortney McLellan. I am the owner of Kneaded Thoughts, and came up with the idea for Kneaded Thoughts based on my own experiences and education. I remember as a child massaging all my friends at a sleep over, until they all had fallen asleep and I was the only one left awake! I enjoyed doing massage at a very young age, and also have always been intrigued with psychology, and counseling. I am always the "go to" person for whoever has a problem they need to talk about. I took a detour from doing what I knew I wanted to, and obtained my Associates degree in small business management from Delta College, then decided to pursue my certificate in Therapeutic Massage from Flint School of Therapeutic Massage in 2005. I then obtained my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Walden University in 2011, and have since been working on my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. It has always been my dream to be able to help others with their struggles, as well as give back to my community in any way I can. I am constantly reminded either in school or in my practice, of the mind-body connection and how one effects the other (eg. the commercial about depression medication that suggests that chronic depression leads to pain and stiffness). My vision is  to provide clients with an innovative look at holistic wellness, as well as a home-like environment which promotes health, growth, and education. I worked with Chiropractors for 7 years, and specialize in pain management for conditions such as fibromyalgia. In what little spare time I have, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am also working on my own self-care, by eating better and excersising. I also enjoy watching NASCAR, Go Dale Earnhardt, Jr.!!! This is a new picture of me in my favorite patchwork skirt my mother made for me!

I am available Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm for appointments or walk-ins!

Anderson, I have been working in the massage therapy field for nine years.  I specialize in deep tissue massage, sports massage, and pre-natal massage. Although I like those types of massage, I can adapt to each individual client and their needs.  I enjoy volunteering at many local events to introduce massage therapy to many who have never tried it and to help others who are familiar with it, continue to help relieve sore muscles.  I am available for a free consultation to make a plan for each client.  Please feel free to stop in and check out our office!  I look forward to meeting all of you.

Susan Tigner, MA, LLPC
Limited License Professional Counselor

Hi, my name is Susan Tigner, and I am offering acupuncture services and counseling services to enhance your holistic health experience at Kneaded Thoughts. Acupuncture allows your body to heal itself from within, and many people have experienced the relaxation benefits of auricular acupuncture. Auricular acupuncture was designed to target the sympathetic nervous system, to allow your body to relax, by dilating blood vessels and slowing down your heart rate. I also like to combine meditation and visual imagery exercises with acupuncture so you can learn to relax yourself. I have been offering acupuncture services since my NADA certification in early 2012. I have been practicing as a Professional Counselor since 2007, when I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. Counseling, acupuncture, meditation, yoga and massage can work together to heal your mind and body, and bring you to self actualization. I hope I can be of help to you in your journey to wellness!

I am available Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm for appointments.

Chantelle Hosner
Certified Yoga Instructor

Hello, my name is Chantelle Hosner and I am a certified yoga instructor. I was certified at Inspiration Yoga Institute in Alachua, FL. I have never been a flexible person but since beginning yoga I am amazed at the results I experienced. Yoga teaches us to connect our breath with the body, allowing our bodies to relax into the pose. Yoga relieves stress, strengthens our bodies, and helps rid our bodies of toxins.
I am in love with yoga. Nothing feels as good as standing up from utanasana and realigning the spine. Except maybe rolling down into chavasana!
My classes are for all levels. Poses are demonstrated to fit the needs of beginners with adjustments and cues to advance the poses.
I hope you'll join us and look forward to meeting you at Kneaded Thoughts. The studio is beautiful!

I have class at Kneaded Thoughts Thursdays at 5:30pm. Sign up today! We may also be adding in a Wednesday night class if anyone is interested please let us know!

Rachel Prenzler, MA, LMSW
Licensed Master's Level Therapist/Reiki Practitioner

Hi there! I'm Rachel Prenzler, and I specialize in offering reiki treatments. Reiki is a type of energy work similar to acupuncture but instead of needles, it balances your energy using healing touch. It is especially great for those of you who are needle-phobic but would like to experience the benefits of energy work without the discomfort that needles can sometimes provide. Reiki is excellent for treating virtually any physical or mental health problem. It creates deep relaxation and aids the body in reducing stress, accelerating the body's self-healing abilities. I've been trained in traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki and am also a licensed Master's level therapist.

I am available Sundays, Mondays and some Tuesdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m. for appointments and look forward to working with you!
